Founded in the spring of 2020, Abacus Services Inc., owned and operated by a Certified Public Accountant, specializes in custom ebookkeeping services designed to meet the unique needs of small and medium-sized businesses. By offering cloud-based solutions Abacus Services Inc. stands to be a leader in this application of this technology in Summerside.
CO-WORK CO-WIN TRAINING CENTRE LIMITED
Co-work Co-Win Training Centre Limited is a social enterprise with the social goal of providing workforce solutions to disadvantaged people in Summerside. This is one of the most recent success stories. This business celebrated the grand opening in August, with an inauguration speech by the mayor! It’s one-of-a-kind on PEI and offers a flexible co-working office space, an event venue as well as pre-employment skills training and job placement services.
HEAD TO TOES BEAUTY: REFRESH YOUR SOUL
It’s only been a few months since Head to Toes Beauty opened their doors, welcoming clients to enjoy a range of beauty treatments including, salon and nail services, esthetics procedures, massage and make-up application, and the rave reviews are rolling in. It’s no surprise with this client’s world-class education and certification, that this salon is considered a professional trendsetting establishment in the local beauty industry.
HOLISTIC WELLNESS TRAINING CENTRE
Established in the winter of 2021, Holistic Wellness Training Centre offers professional and personal programs to help people achieve their goals of living a more balanced life. This client, who has developed his own theory of wellness, combines his experience as a university professor with his business acumen to offer this unique centre, which strives to enrich the community.
Play-based learning is a primary and integral mode for children to gather, assess and apply knowledge and skills. iBox, founded in early 2021, sources toys to foster creative thinking, self-expression, scientific thinking, and problem-solving. As an online retailer, iboxstore.ca carries a wide variety of toys to delight children as they discover, build and create.
Computational thinking is a skill necessary in today’s world and Beyond Stem offers education to develop children’s critical thinking skills through STEM. Children in Summerside have been learning coding and programming through the variety of courses offered in Python and Scratch since 2019. Children also have the opportunity to discover how a Dash robot works!
SOUTH CENTRAL KITCHEN & PROVISIONS
South Central Kitchen & Provisions is an example of what happens with you mix passions for food and entrepreneurship together. This small restaurant has been offering delicious sandwiches on freshly baked bread to patrons since the summer of 2020.
Starry Land Playground: STEM to Enlighten Motivation offers residents of Summerside a place for their children to learn about Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at a bright, fun indoor playground. This learning centre offers a variety of classes and camps to spark imagination and intellectual and physical development. Starry Land also offers free beginner Mandarin lessons.
Base Advance Technology Inc. provides comprehensive services, training and consulting on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relation Management (CRM), website design, data analytics, financial management and system adaptation and more. A partner of ODOO, this Summerside-based business has also organized a successful PEI IT conference in the fall of 2021.
Accelerator Training Services helps businesses expand into the Asian markets. This company, located in O’Leary, offers online training programs, business coaching and learning solutions aimed at companies looking to break into other global markets.
HW Business Solutions Inc. offers both eco-friends products and consulting services for management systems including ISO 9001 (QMS) and ISO14001 (EMS). This company focuses on sustainability offering biodegradable food packaging made of plant fibre and electric gadgets.
Smart STEM Learning Centre offers classes for children ages 6-16 focusing on Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) content. Children and youths will learn technical literacy and critical thinking skills with hands-on learning through fun activities like building robots. Smart STEM Learning Centre, located in O’Leary, also sells a variety of educational toys.
C&W Performance eTrack Inc. offers Human Resource Management (HRM) software. This software can be tailored to any business’s specific HR needs. C&W Performance eTrack Inc.’s software includes applications to monitor leave, attendance and work progress management in order to streamline processes and increase employee motivation and satisfaction to enhance organization and maximize profit.
GEBECERT Technology Canada has brought blockchain and microchip technology to Prince Edward Island. GEBECERT offers this innovative technology helps fight against counterfeiting by offering many services to businesses to protect their brands.
Le Rosa Wellness, a boutique spa located in Charlottetown, offers premium facials and massages. The hydrating and brightening facials are a rejuvenating favourite among clients. Facials specifically designed for men and teens are also available.
Milo Music’s motto is: the gift of music lasts a lifetime. Milo Music is a family run music education studio located in Charlottetown, which aims to introduce and teach music to children through a variety of programs and types of lessons. The Music for Young Children (MYC) program is designed for children, starting from age 2 to 9. As children, accompanied by a parent, progress through four-level program they will learn the fundamentals of music and also have many chances to perform.
LEISURE MOMENT BIKES & ACCESSORIES
Leisure Moment Bikes & Accessories specializes in something unique to the PEI market: folding bikes. Leisure Moment carries SoloRock Wonder aluminum bikes, which conveniently fold and are easy to carry and store. The store, located at the HQ building in downtown Summerside also offers mountain bikes and a variety of bicycle helmets, seat covers and other accessories.
