Milo Music’s motto is: the gift of music lasts a lifetime. Milo Music is a family run music education studio located in Charlottetown, which aims to introduce and teach music to children through a variety of programs and types of lessons.
The Music for Young Children (MYC) program https://www.milomusic.net/mycprogram is designed for children, starting from age 2 to 9. As children, accompanied by a parent, progress through four-level program they will learn the fundamentals of music and also have many chances to perform.
Children, teens and adults can also take private of group lessons to learn how to play guitar, ukulele, piano, flute and drums from one of the four instructors.
One of these instructors is GBPEI’s client, who has a Master’s degree in education, and a desire to own and operate her own music studio. This client came to PEI in July 2021 and opened the doors to Milo Music in August.
This client started her PEI Provincial Nominee Program journey in the fall of 2019 with the formal submission of the application package. The process was delayed in the spring and summer of 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and she received her Work Permit Support letter in November 2020. Her Work Permit was issued in early winter 2021 and she and her family arrived on PEI in the summer of 2021.
