This three-step plan will phase out public health restrictions depending on factors including; positive tests and daily cases, outbreaks, hospitalizations, and the COVID-19 situation locally, nationally and internationally.
With phase one of this plan set to start on February 17 and end on April 7, the following public health guidelines will always be important to follow:
– get vaccinated and boosted
– get your children vaccinated
– people do not require a PEI health card to be vaccinated
– assess risk of Covid-19 infection to yourself and others before participating in activities
– masks reduce the transmission of Covid-19
– medical masks are recommended to reduce spread of the Omicron variant
– stay home when feeling sick and get tested
– outdoor activities and smaller gatherings are safer
