PEI ANNOUNCES NEW IMMIGRATION STREAM: OCCUPATIONS IN DEMAND

The PEI Office of Immigration introduced a new immigration stream on March 1 2022. The Occupations in Demand pathway seeks to fill vacant positions in PEI’s job market.

Occupations in Demand https://www.princeedwardisland.ca/en/information/office-of-immigration/occupations-in-demand will focus on

Nurse aids, orderlies and patient service associates (NOC 3413);

Transport truck drivers (NOC 7511);

Construction trades helpers and labourers (NOC 7611); and

Light duty cleaners (NOC 6731).

In order to be eligible to apply people must

be between 18 and 59 years of age;

have a minimum of a secondary school diploma;

have one year related work experience;

have a valid language test result of CLB 4;

demonstrate a strong intention to live on PEI; and

have financial resources to pay for the associated costs like travel.

If the formal application is accepted by the office of immigration, the applicant will receive a Nomination Certificate and Work Permit Support Letter.
