On PEI, the school year officially closes at the end of June, but that doesn’t mean learning has to. There are a variety of summer camps available for children and youth including ones focusing on arts, athletics, STEM, ecology and more.
Attending summer camps helps kids explore their talents, interests and values through experiential learning. The structure of camps can also be an effective learning environment, which fosters academic or athletic achievement as much as it strengthens traits such as; self-confidence, independence, decision-making and leadership skills.
